Industrial Hygiene & Project Advisors — BC & Alberta
Measure what workers are actually breathing. Put someone competent on the job.
Two services that answer the same underlying question: what is the real exposure on this site, and who is watching it. One is quantified with calibrated instruments and an accredited lab. The other is a qualified person on the ground who knows what they are looking at.
Industrial Hygiene Services
Full-shift personal sampling with calibrated pumps, analysed by an accredited laboratory under documented chain of custody.
Results are reviewed by a certified industrial hygienist and interpreted against WorkSafeBC and Alberta OEL values — not handed to you as a lab sheet to decipher.

How an exposure assessment runs
A number without a decision attached to it is worth nothing. Every assessment ends with what you have to change.
- Similar exposure groupsWe walk the work and define who is actually exposed to what, before anyone puts a pump on.
- Sampling planAgents, methods, durations and how many samples it takes to say something defensible.
- Field samplingCalibrated pumps, pre- and post-calibration recorded, field blanks, chain of custody.
- Accredited analysisSamples to an accredited laboratory under documented custody.
- Hygienist review & controlsA certified industrial hygienist reviews the results against the applicable OEL. You get the control plan and the follow-up interval.
HSE Advisors for Projects
Qualified safety people on your site for the length of the work — a turnaround, a capital project, a leave to cover.
I lead the engagement personally and place vetted advisors from my network when a project needs more coverage than one person.

Why this is not a staffing agency
An agency sends you a resume and a ticket. What arrives on site is your problem after that.
- Every advisor is vetted by me personally — I have worked with them or I do not place them
- They work to one method — Human and Organizational Performance, applied the same way on every site
- I stay accountable for the engagement after the placement, not just up to the invoice
- Advisors arrive with the documentation and reporting system already built, not starting from a blank page
- If the placement is not right, that is mine to fix — you do not start the search over
- Day rate
- Single days and short coverage. Suits inspections, audits, a high-risk lift, a regulator visit.
- Block of days
- A committed block drawn down as you need it. Best value for ongoing work without a full-time hire.
- Embedded, fixed term
- An advisor on site for the duration of a project or turnaround, at a project rate.
- Retainer
- A standing monthly allocation for advice, document review and being on the end of the phone when something happens.
- Coverage
- BC Interior, Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island and Alberta. Travel, accommodation and LOA quoted separately and at cost.
Tell us the exposure you are worried about, or the gap on the schedule.
A scope and a quote, usually within one business day. The first conversation is free — as it is for all of our work.
Industrial hygiene sampling is analysed by an independent accredited laboratory and reviewed by a certified industrial hygienist retained by Solutions HSE; Solutions HSE does not perform laboratory analysis. Placed advisors work under the client's safety management system and the client remains the employer or prime contractor for the purposes of the applicable occupational health and safety legislation.
